Even more
excitement added to the FISC EuroTour weekends!
After
quick-poll #1 confirmed our choice of circuits to be spot on and quick-poll #2
confirmed the volume of circuit time to be okay, quick-poll #3 now really shows
some surprising results!
Question
was: “How to divide 2hrs of circuit time?”
Although
13 (37%) out of 35 voters confirm the current format, one 30min. qualifying and three
30min. sprint races, to be exactly what they want, there is a second group of 13
voters (37%), who definitely want more excitement added to their weekend. One
compact qualifying of 20 min’s, but four(!) 25 min. sprint races is what they
want. Offering four starts in a weekend would add some spice, I am sure.
Note:
I have taken the opportunity to contact different organizers and see whether
this new schedule still could be introduced this year. I am afraid, I have to
disappoint you, but we’ll work something out for next year, of course still respecting
the first group.
Another
interesting, but significantly smaller, group of 6 voters (17%) would want one
longer race of 50 min’s and two shorter ones of 25 min’s each.
Note:
For this group of voters it will be interesting to know that the circuit time
at the 11th Eifel Mountains Classic (Nordschleife ’09) will be
extended. One shorter sprint race will be added to the Saturday programme,
bringing total circuit time to an incredible 4,5 hours(!).
Interesting
to see that other options resulting in less total circuit time did not score,
again confirming the results of quick-poll #2, that total circuit time should be 2
hours.
Join
our quick-poll #4 next week.
Best regards,
Pieter BAKKER
