The Austin Healey provided an instant contender for the ever growing UK sports car
market, competing with rivals such as the Triumph TR2 and MGTF. Throughout the
50's Austin
continued to develop the AH 100 and the
100/4, 100/4M, 100/4S, 100S, 100/6 models
followed.
Late 50’s saw the introduction of a smaller sports car, the Sprite MkI or Frogeye. Because of its
popularity this range was extended with the Sprite MkII, Sprite MkIII
and Sprite MkIV as well as the Innocenti with an Italian designed body
for the Italian market. Many after market derivatives soon followed.
From 1959 the Austin Healey 3000 went into production,
this sports car was and still is the best known of the 'big' Healey models.
All of the Austin Healey models and derivatives are eligible for the 'Legendary Circuits' series.
Cars must comply with FIA safety standards. Both historic ánd competition tyres are allowed,
on condition that cars on 'quicker tyres' race in 'quicker classes'.
Our technical regulations fit one A4 page, simple and crystal clear.
FIA HTP Forms are helpful, but not compulsory. Team hospitality
available at clubprices, but not compulsory either. And a free
bodywarmer comes with your early registration.
Already since 1994, exciting and fair racing has been provided for drivers at Europe's historic GP circuits, which still are truly
challenging. The unique set-up of this series guarantees a competitive and
sociable weekend with friends and family.
